Girls Night Out on National Cleavage Day

Here in South Africa we celebrate a special day known as National Cleavage Day. Yes, you read right. Personally I absolutely love it. Why not show off your assets?! Big, small, let's celebrate them all!!! The evening out with the girls was planned before we even realised the day, but it was a great excuse to have even more fun.

And what did I wear you ask? Well, after coming back from spending a week working in Newcastle, I had tons of bruises allover my legs, so I had to wear pants. Something I don't particularly enjoy doing when I go out, but I didn't want anyone thinking I was being abused at home. So, I decided on a few of my favourites: khaki jeggings, Aldo platform wedges, and my cross earrings. And let's not forget my favourite lipstick, Firecracker from Rimmel. Simple but cute too.

The Girls: Mpume, Lisa, Jade, & ME!!!

Earrings & Ring from Diva.

Shoes (Aldo), Bag (Mr Price).

Here are a few snaps from our evening of pizza, cocktails, and lots of laughs:

Happy National Cleavage Day to you all!!! Let's celebrate everything God gave us!!!

I'm back to doing everything I used to, loving life as ever.

Hi there to all my favourite fashionistas!!! Im back!!!

And where have I been you may ask? Well, not to make excuses for my lack of posts, but work has had me in a tizz!!! First there was launching Winter 2012, then a trip to a small town for the opening of a new store. Exhausting right?! Plus, I am about to adventure into unfamiliar territory with a new job!!! I have so much to look forward to right now, and it truly feels amazing. I am slowly ticking things off the To Do List of My Life :)

Here are a few pix from my work trip. I worked and played really hard :)

JLO in GOLD Dolce&Gabbana!!!

Watching American Idol this evening, I was immediately taken by Jennifer Lopez in a gold sequin star dress by none other than Dolce & Gabbana. WOW!!! I had previously blogged about this Fall 2011 collection by Dolce & Gabbana, and was pleasantly pleased to see how stunningly Jennifer's curves filled this dress.
First up is a photograph from the runway:

And here is Jennifer in the dress:

Now tell me you don't think she is absolutely rocking it?! Seriously gorgeous!!! #inlove But what I also remembered after Jennifer took it back a few seasons in this dress, is that Miss Kim Kardashian was also spotted wearing this dress. October 2011 to be exact, on the cover of Harper's Bazaar Arabia. She too filled out the dress in a fabulous manner. Talk about dangerous curves ahead! #love

So what do you think of these curvaceous women in this stunning dress??? Do comment below!

COLLAR Comeback!!!

When I tell you to pop your collar, I'm talking about this Autumn/Winter's mini trend. It's all about the collar! All shapes, colours, and sizes welcome! I am loving the detachable collar. Marni has a few fabulous pieces that are simply to die for! I am also crazy for the contrasting colour theme going on. It's not just black-on-white, it's yellow-on-green, and red-on-purple, and even floral. Love love love!

Within the collar trend is the ever-so-fabulous Peter Pan Collar. A typically French motif, the Peter Pan style collar fast becomes one of the easiest ways to spice up a look with minimal effort. Which is exactly why I like it. Whether it’s peeking out from under a smart cardigan, a classic style on bold prints, or a collar embellished with beads and jewels, this trend the Peter-Pan-Collar provides an elegant way to add interesting details to our outfits.

I'm loving this, hope you all look fabulous & chic rocking this trend this AW.

The ONE Hundred items 19 - 22 !!!

Hey there to you all fabulous ladies!!!

I bring to you another installment of Miss Nina Garcia's fabulous book, THE ONE HUNDRED. And in case you are not a regular her, this book lists the Top 100 items every stylish woman MUST own. Today I give you items 19 - 22...

#19 Charm Bracelet

I am no fan of bangles or bracelets, charmed or not. But I do remember my mom having a really nice gold charm bracelet that she loved. Many designers & jewellers offer ready-made versions of the charm bracelet, but I totally agree with Nina when she says that the best version is one that is all you. Your charms can be symbolic of people, places, and milestones; anything that is special to you.

Nina suggests having several charm bracelets, & having a theme for each one. Like perhaps one themed with places you’ve travelled. Or even one with just milestones in your life. Anyways, it could turn out to be really fun.

Juicy Couture!

#20 Clutch

I love the clutches. They are the perfect accessories for a night out on the town. I have many clutches. Different colours, materials etc. They’re great. I like ones that are small, but still big enough to fit money, my cellphone, and lipstick/lip-gloss in.

Nina suggests trying something you would otherwise not try. Like a jewelled, or metallic, or even a wooden version. Sounds fun right?! She also suggests that if you travel anywhere; look out for these, as they are not only souvenirs, but also a great addition to your accessory collection. And the bonus is that it will be unique.

Gotta love this Vivienne Westwood clutch!

#21 Cocktail Ring

This may sound funny to you, but I kind of have a finger complex. Seriously. My fingers are really spastic looking. They’re long & really thin. The only rind I ever wore, was my matric ring on my pinky finger (until I lost it); and just the other day, I purchased a few new rings because I thought I would try something new & different. Anyway, after wearing this cute little ‘peace-sign’ ring all day, I looked down to find my fingers bare.

Anyway, back to number 21 on the list. Nina says that in this case, bigger is better. So don’t be shy! Also, it’s okay to be dramatic with this item of jewellery, as it is meant to represent you, and your personality; to be a conversation starter.

I die for this Alexander McQueen cocktail ring. I love SKULLS!!!

#22 Converse

This is yet another item you will not find me dead in. Hhmmm no thanks! I just dont wear any type of takkie, ever! It just is not me. Perhaps if I start gyming I will have to be more open to these, but for now. I'll pass!

A classic pair of Converse takkies/sneakers.

Be sure to keep checking the blog to see what's next on the list.

Style Diary: MALL WORLD

Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping. ~Bo Derek

Black Tank  + iPanema sandals ( Woolworth's )
Denim Skirt ( Identity )
Bag ( Gift )
Body Chain, Earrings, Ring ( DIVA )

That quote from Bo Derek is too true!!! My energy levels were so low this morning, but as soon as I entered the doors of the mall I was happy. So there I was off to the mall to see the new ZARA store that just opened here in Durban. In case you don't know about Durban, we're super laid-back and chilled, and so is our style. My typical mall look is shorts & a T. So today was no different, a cute denim skirt & a black tank, paired with iPanema slops. And let's not forget the body chain & cross earrings to finish off the look!!!

I die for this body chain!!! I bought it after looking at it a million different times.
You like?

I love my slops!!! And my cool earrings too!!!

Love you all!!! Thanks for your support!

ZARA finally opens in DURBAN!!!!

I spent my entire Friday at work unable to concentrate on anything!!! My heart and soul simply were not there. They were at the grand opening of ZARA at Gateway Theatre of Shopping in Durban! So today, I made it my mission to head to the mall and see the store of the brand I am oh so in love with. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. WOW!!! The only sad thing is that I wish I erned more money so that I could buy EVERYTHING!!! lol. I did still manage to make a purchase, an awesome grey t-shirt dress. I cannot wait to wear it :) I can tell you now, this is where my money will be spent from now on!!!

These are some snaps of the interior of the store:

Talk about going GA-GA for GOLD!!!

Do you see the HUGE SMILE I have after making my first ever ZARA purchase?!

Im in a state of absolute BLISS!!!
Hope you're all having a fabulous weekend!
